Gigi Hadid recently graced her very first American Vogue cover and wore this popular Louis Vuitton dress during her shoot. Gigi Hadid created a sporty vibe with her slick hair and boot heels, proving the dress can be both fancy and casual. Zendaya took the iconic brand's dress to the street and celebrated their cruise show in Rio with a classy approach.
Creative director of LV, Nicolas Ghesquière, also released an accompanying look with a similar silhouette during the runway show. The dark lip makeup and boots styling seemed to have clearly inspired both Zendaya and Gigi with their respective glamour and sporty vibe. The right look seems to also depict a more subtle vibe, compared to the first look, as it uses more neutral cloth colors. Hence, this style can be worn by the glamorous to the sporty and those who enjoy bright colors to neutral patterns.
Since Gigi covered the Olympic edition, Vogue kept the sporty vibe consistent throughout the entire editorial. They replicated a similar silhouette to the LV dress using other designers' renditions and separates. The left look uses a Tory Sport turtleneck on top of a dress that meshes different patterns but keeps a similar color palette. Pringle of Scotland's dress on the right gives a more neutral take on the dress, allowing for a more subtle pattern on a dramatic silhouette.
Check out the items below to piece together a replica of this LV dress, just like Vogue used separates. Use this silhouette to combine crazy colors and patterns! Either add long sleeve tops over or under a longer dress of thicker material for the upcoming fall and winter seasons, or pair a tighter dress over a fuller skirt.
